Events & Public Hearings

Public meetings and public hearings allow you to participate in the transportation planning process and are a coordinated effort to gather your input. These meetings help you better understand the road, rail and aviation projects that affect your community. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Conferences and Meetings

  • Small Business Briefings - We will conduct briefings around the state for small and minority-owned businesses providing contract opportunities and information on how to do business with TxDOT and the state. The briefings include general industry sessions and specific information on how to do business in the construction, goods and services, information technology and professional engineering service industries.

    Breakout sessions will cover small and minority-owned business certifications, resources for business development, marketing for state contracts and information on TxDOT toll projects. Each briefing will also include a contracting opportunity fair, industry networking session and reception.

  • Minority and Small Business Construction Industry Stimulus Workshops - TxDOT will host several workshops for minority-owned, veteran-owned, disadvantaged and small businesses interested in bidding on stimulus projects. The free workshops are designed to provide details, bidding requirements, certification and networking opportunities.
